My Story

I’ve always been fascinated with the world around us and have made it my mission to go out, explore, and learn about the many cultures and places that make up planet Earth.

I want to bring the possibility of traversing the globe into your orbit. Here I will provide you with actionable tips for making your next venture that much easier to book. In addition to hands-on, practical travel advice, I will also dive into the history and factual knowledge of a place that will make your travels that much more enjoyable.

We are designed to go out and explore. Life is not meant to waste away in one corner of the world gathering material wealth. At the end of your life, the only things you can take with you are your memories and experiences.

Vision

This is an unconventional website that encourages unorthodox thinking, alternative ways of living, perpetual learning, and a fervent investment in the betterment of one’s self regardless of what it may look like in the eyes of society.

So be warned, some of these articles may shift your whole outlook on life, evoke uncomfortable emotions, and open up the narrowly confined spaces that your mind currently occupies.

Life is meant to be lived exactly as you want to live it, and you shouldn’t feel as if the direction of your life rests in someone else’s hands. I dread that feeling. It is called learned helplessness.

At one point or another, we are all conditioned this way to become obedient members of the society we live in.

I created this site to share my insights on the knowledge I have gained and to provide you with inspiration and motivation that will help you achieve a better standard of living if you so choose to embrace them.

And the best part about it is that it is much simpler to do than you might think. All it takes is a conscious effort on your part and a little shift in perspective.

I want to make some permanent, positive, and lasting changes in your life in relation to some of the key areas that are most crucial in becoming confident, successful, and happy individuals.

I truly believe we are all beautiful souls at the core searching for fulfillment and purpose on this planet. Each one of us is desperately trying to uncover what gifts we can bring to the table that utilize our talents and leave us with a feeling of contribution to some greater purpose at play.

Eternally adrift and trying to make sense of the pieces we collect along the way, we are all vagabonds in this ever-expanding journey of self-discovery. So, what does that mean exactly?

Well, vagabond is originally derived from the Latin word vagābundus which describes a perpetual wanderer who travels from place to place with no fixed home.

Typically, a vagabond is only thought of in the literal sense of an abiding traveler who wishes to never settle down, however, let’s put a playful spin on the term vagabond and give it a figurative representation.

Putting vagabonds into this mindset, imagine an elaborate construct of every human being on this Earth depicted as a lost soul who is incessantly searching for something beyond their current state of existence.

Deep down each and every one of us yearns for something more: consistent growth and self-betterment for an overall more fulfilling life – one that we can honestly be proud to live.

Like the intrepid vagabond on the road who is searching for a new adventure, we as human beings are wandering throughout life to learn more, give more, and become more than the person we were yesterday.

We are insatiable beings, and the pieces of wisdom we come across in our journey become the virtues we live by, and these very same virtues are the concepts we eagerly want to pass on to others, in hopes that they too might benefit from the same lessons we have adopted.

I firmly believe that the best way to piece together the person we are meant to be is to go out and travel. Be intentional with your life and learn more about the world so you can grow as an individual.

I guess my whole point of this slightly drawn-out introduction is to extend a welcoming hand to anyone who also feels as if their soul is perpetually wandering – someone who feels lost, lonely, and confused as to where they are heading in life.

Most people would be lying to you if they claim to have all of their life together because most people have no clue what they are doing, myself included.

We are humans and whether it’s for more money, material possessions, love, fulfillment, recognition, status, or some other abstract motivation, we are all continually wandering for something more – not always out of dissatisfaction, but out of an innate curiosity to explore new facets of ourselves and the globe.

All of us are just stumbling around life trying to find something that works for us, so don’t feel discouraged if you feel as if you are the only one out there because you’re not.

There’s a growing community just like you who are beginning to shed light and use their voices to make a difference in the world.

I call them vagabonds. Not out of the sense that we travel the world with no fixed home, but out of an inherent quality that compels us to reach for a higher state of being – one that is more fulfilling than the previous day. It’s okay to wander aimlessly looking for meaning and purpose in your life.

The only way to discover new horizons is to leave antiquated notions and familiar terrains behind and start venturing off into the unknown, eager for what you may find.

Lose yourself in discovery and immerse yourself in the quaint, vibrant colors this world has to offer. Experience all that your senses can handle, and don’t be trapped by dogma. You will fail, but you will also grow in the process. It is part of the process.

Find the virtues that resonate with you, and be relentless in the pursuit of life – real life that is. Not the kind of life you spend wasting away while your mind remains entertained in reverie.

You want the kind of life that propels you into active living and reminds you of the remarkable beauty this world has to offer. Learn to leap, and the net will appear. Let’s start being intentional with our lives today.

Here’s to experiencing the world, one thought-provoking post at a time.
